Auxiliary

For more than 90 years the women of the Alice Hyde Medical Center Auxiliary have had a strong presence in providing quality health care to the growing community. Early members helped facilitate the initial building of the hospital and have since aided in the expansion and construction of several other buildings on the Medical Center’s campus.

Women of all ages participate in the program and donate at least 3.5 hours of service each week.

Auxiliary members may choose ACTIVE or INACTIVE membership; all we ask of you is a $5.00 annual fee. Many of our members who choose active membership volunteer their time within the Medical Center. Volunteers participate in a number of departments in the Medical Center and help aide in the stay of both hospital patients and nursing home residents.

As a member of the Auxiliary you will be a vital link between the Medical Center and the community. You will be helping us to purchase medical equipment and provide scholarships to local students pursuing a medical career. This is achieved through our fund-raisers in the spring and fall.

Your membership entitles you to:

• a 10% discount in the Gift Shop on Tuesdays (active members)
• receive a copy of the annual newsletter
• attend the annual luncheon
• express your interest in health care

Good Deeds

In the last few years our Auxilians have provided aide to the Medical Center in a number of distinct ways. We have provided gifts for newborns, pediatric, and hemodialysis patients, sponsored “Mr. Yuk” poison prevention magic shows and “We Have A Little Emergency” (WHALE) car seat identification programs, and have coordinated numerous fund-raisers throughout the year.
