Nursing

The Alice Hyde Medical Center Nursing Services department is inspired by advanced medicine, compassionate care and together in collaboration and partnerships with the medical center departments, we strive to achieve excellence in nursing care for our patients and residents.

The Nursing department nursing staff includes: Nursing Leadership positions, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Patient Care Technicians, Scrub Technicians and Divisional clerks.

Nursing care is provided to patients of all age groups, in a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient settings and specialties, which are listed below. Nursing care is provided in accordance with medical center polices, procedures and standards of care and practice. Nurse Managers provide 24-hour responsibility and accountability for the nursing care provided on each unit. Each manager reports to the Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services. A Registered Nurse (RN) assesses, plans and evaluates the nursing care for each patient and car is provided under the direction and supervision of an RN, who may delegate aspects of the care to a licensed practical nurse, technician or nursing assistant.
