Family Maternity Center

Find OB/GYN’s, certified nurse-midwives, a Lamaze instructor, certified lactation consultants and breastfeeding support at Alice Hyde Medical Center's birthing center in Malone, NY.

Alice Hyde is moving to a regional care approach for our child birth services. While we will continue to provide Women’s Health services right here in Malone, as of Monday, March 28, 2022 our Family Maternity Center will no longer perform scheduled births.

“Our priorities are to make this transition safe and seamless for expectant mothers, and to ensure they continue to have access to maternity services of the highest quality. While we are responding to the changing needs of our community, this does not change our commitment to clinical excellence, delivering compassionate care, or making sure critical women’s health services are available to our patients and communities, now and for generations to come.”

Welcome Your New Baby to the World

Our team of expert OB/GYNs, certified nurse-midwives, registered nurses, and a Lamaze instructor offer the individual attention and personalized, compassionate care you deserve in our beautiful maternity center.

The Family Maternity Center has seven private rooms that offer a comfortable environment for labor and delivery and in-room accommodations for your partner or support person to stay overnight. Mothers stay in the same room throughout the birthing experience—from labor and delivery—until the family leaves for home. After delivery, you can settle in as our caring providers check on the health of you and your baby and share education and support information to make the transition home easier for your family.

Our nurses and other skilled staff offer guidance and training in areas such as:

  • childbirth options and decisions
  • women’s health issues
  • parenting skills
  • caring for yourself and newborn
  • proper car seat installation
  • breastfeeding

You can have peace of mind knowing that our qualified caring nurses and physicians are dedicated to making sure that you have the very best care to make your family birthing experience safe, comfortable and enjoyable.
