Dr. Daniel Laury Joins Alice Hyde Medical Staff
MALONE, NY (01/10/2020) – Obstetrician and Gynecologist Daniel Laury, MD, is the newest member of the University of Vermont Health Network – Alice Hyde Medical Center (AHMC) Medical Staff. He joins Stephen Kessler, MD and Certified Nurse-Midwives Tina Colwell and Megan Gagner in the Alice Hyde’s Women’s Health Center, 16 Third Street, Suite C, Malone, NY 12953, phone (518) 481-2896.
Dr. Laury is a graduate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of OB/GYN at the Western University of Health Sciences, Touro Medical College and the University of New England. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Laury is also a peer reviewer for medical journals the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition and the International Journal of Sports medicine. He is the author of publications on topics including Interstitial Pregnancy, Geriatric Gynecology, and best-practices in patient-provider interactions.
“I think the most important thing I can do for my patients is to empower them through education and collaborate with them to get the best possible outcome,” said Dr. Laury. “Patients want expert evaluation and treatment, but they also want to know their provider is going to bring all their skills and knowledge to bear in order to offer them options and help make sure they are a part of their own health care decisions. That’s my goal with every woman who comes into our practice: education, empowerment and collaboration.”
Alice Hyde’s Women’s Health Center offers a wide range of gynecological and obstetrics care in Malone. Delivering more than 250 babies every year, the team offers VBAC (Vaginal Birth After C-Section) as well as routine prenatal care, pregnancy counseling, maternal fetal medicine specialists to care for high-risk patients with hypertension and diabetes, and more. The Center’s full range of gynecological care options include routine annual care and breast exams, breast cancer screening, minimally-invasive surgery and laparoscopy, management of menstrual issues, diagnosis and treatment of pelvic pain disorders, and age-appropriate counseling services.
