Alice Hyde's Annual Golf Benefit to be Held July 31
UVM Health Network – Alice Hyde Medical Center’s Annual Golf Benefit will be held on July 31 at Highland Greens Golf Course, though the event will look different this year, amid safety precautions that will be put in place because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Player registration will accommodate for proper social distancing, a bag lunch will be provided at the time of sign-in in lieu of our traditional banquet, winners will be announced by email and prizes will be distributed by mail. For more information or to enter a team please call the Alice Hyde Office of Philanthropy at (518) 481-2794.
While the golf benefit will continue, other annual events, like the Reddy Cancer Center’s Survivor’s Day Picnic, and Alice Hyde’s annual Charity Gala, have been cancelled because attendees would not be able to follow social distancing guidelines.
“As a health care institution, we know this is the right thing to do. However, it is still a difficult decision to make,” said Chantelle Marshall, Alice Hyde’s Director of Philanthropy. “Events like the Survivor’s Day Picnic are deeply meaningful celebrations for our patients and their families, and the Gala is a chance for members of our community to celebrate with our employees and foster the personal connections that are an important part of what it means to be a community hospital.”
Organizers have said that the Survivor’s Day Picnic will be rescheduled and held at an appropriate time, in accordance with public health and safety guidelines.
