Alice Hyde to Host Trick-or-Treat Event
UVM Health Network – Alice Hyde Medical Center is hosting a socially-distanced Trick-or-Treating event later this month, in an effort to provide a safe venue for families and allow their children to experience a beloved Halloween tradition.
Alice Hyde’s Halloween Event, which is co-sponsored by Fidelis Care, will take place from 5:30 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29, and is free and open to the public. Starting at Third Street’s and Park Street, visitors will be able to drive through Alice Hyde’s campus and visit stations where employees will bring pre-packaged treats right to their vehicles. The stations will be sponsored by departments across Alice Hyde.
“Like everyone else, we’re looking for ways to help give people – especially the kids – a sense of normalcy and the chance to safely enjoy a fun holiday like Halloween despite the challenges we’re facing right now,” said Tina Andrews-Perry, coordinator of volunteer and student services. “We’re excited to see folks come out in their costumes and do some trick-or-treating.”
The trick-or-treat route will take visitors from the Reddy Cancer Center parking lot down through Alice Hyde’s campus and back onto Park Street, where they can drive to The Alice Center’s parking lot, which will also have treat tables. Working in partnership with Malone Village, Third Street will be closed for the duration of the event.
