Physician Assistant Joins Alice Hyde Primary Care

Physician Assistant Justine Lawrence, MS, PA-C, is the newest member of the University of Vermont Health Network – Alice Hyde Medical Center (AHMC) Medical Staff. She joins Derek Reynolds, FNP, and Stephanie Leffler, FNP, in Alice Hyde Primary Care, 183 Park Street, Suite 1, Malone, phone number (518) 481-2868.

Lawrence is a 2020 graduate of Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York, where she earned her Master of Science, Physician Assistant. She is NCCP Certified, and a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and New York State Society of Physician Assistants. She is also a 2018 graduate of SUNY Buffalo in Buffalo, New York, where she earned her Master of Science in Neuroscience.

“I’ve always known that I wanted to be a health care provider in a more rural setting,” said Lawrence, a native of Lake Placid, New York. “I think when you work in a rural area you really get to know your patients and establish a meaningful connection. What motivates me is helping patients align their health goals not only with their physical well-being, but understanding that mental health, social health and surroundings are critical pieces of that work as well. I want my patients to know that my practice is a no-judgement zone, and that we’re going to work together to achieve their health care goals.”

Alice Hyde’s Primary Care team provides communities across Franklin County and the surrounding areas with board-certified primary care, internal medicine and pediatric providers that offer a wide range of care, from annual well-visits, immunizations and check-ups to chronic disease management, routine and annual screenings, and treatment for conditions including diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, digestive disorders and diseases, mental health, and women’s health services.
